Dollie Octave was the youngest of six children of John Edward Trimble and Sarah Jones "Sallie" Key Trimble. She married William Green Kennedy in 1903 and they raised 5 daughters: Orleana, Lunetta, Martha & Mary (twins), and Willie Dee.
