Sad News: A telegraphic dispatch received at noon Friday, by Mr Henry Dantz of this village informs him that his son W W Dantz, wife and child, were killed at Mittlin, on the Pennsylvania Central Railroad. The above dispatch is all that is known here of this terribly sad and afflictive dispensation, up to the time of going to press on Friday evening. W W Dantz, wife and child, were on their way to Washington D C where Mr Dantz held the position of door keeper in the House of Representatives, and was hastening forward to be at the post of duty. They left Princeton several days since, and as we learn spent Thanksgiving in Winneconne, starting on Tuesday morning for Washington. They were seen by Princeton friends as they passed through Ripon on Tuesday, since which time nothing had been heard from them up to the reception of the above sad news. Wallace W Dantz was a nephew of post master A G Hopkins and has a very large circle of relatives and friends in this place and in the town of Marquette, all of whom were shocked by the sudden and unlooked for calamity. Wallace lost a leg in the late war, but through energy and perseverance had secured a good position, and was looked upon politically as one of the rising young men of Green Lake county. The entire community sympathize with his aged parents and with the relatives in this their sad bereavement.
