Hilma F. Tade, 91, of Kirksville, MO, passed away May 14, 2006, at the LaPlata Nursing Home in LaPlata, MO, surrounded by her family.

Hilma was born on July 5, 1914, in Lancaster, MO, the daughter of LeRoy and Carrie (Gosser) Farrell.

On April 28, 1933, she was united in marriage to Leonard Tade, who preceded her in death on January 9, 1979.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; one sister, Ermina Ross; two brothers, Morris Edison and Forrest Farrell; a grandson-in-law, Vic Frederick and a great-granddaughter, Emma Rishmany.

She is survived by two daughters, Louise Cohlmeyer and husband, Bill of Fairview Heights, IL, and Margaret Miller and husband, Gene of Kirksville, MO; one son, Bill Tade and wife, Judy of Lee's Summitt, MO; nine grandchildren, Cindy Wilson and husband, Bob of Carlyle, IL, Bob Cohlmeyer and wife, Jane of O'Fallon, IL, Kristin Harris and husband, Mark of Grandview, MO, Mehgan Rishmany and husband, Brad of Olathe, KS, Jim Russell and wife, Karin of New Franklin, MO, Carla Pulliam and husband, David of Greentop, MO, Saralyn Erwin and husband, Lon of Baring, MO, Jim Miller and wife, Nancy of Bloomfield, IA, and Leisa Walter and husband, Greg of Kirksville, MO; 19 great-grandchildren, Doug and Emily Wilson, Erin, Holly, Jamie and Kayla Frederick, Ben Pulliam, Jessica and Ryan Erwin, Ella and Jack Rishmany, Madison Harris, Amy Garr, Brenna and Abbie Cohlmeyer, Lydia Walter, Megan Saffel, Angie and Amanda Biesemeyer; four great-great-grandchildren, Kaitlea and Ian Garr, Calvin Saffel and Kailey Biesemeyer; one sister, Christine Suedmeyer of Plymouth, MN; one brother-in-law, Harold Tade of Livonia, MO; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Hilma was raised on a farm south of Lancaster, MO. She taught school in the rural schools of Schuyler County, farmed with her husband and father and worked for Warren and Charlotte Gardine at their turkey farm, south of Lancaster, MO, before moving her family to Kirksville, MO, where she worked for McGraw-Edison, Lambert Manufacturing and Kirksville Osteopathic Hospital in the cashiers office for many years, retiring in 1981.

Hilma was a R.S.V.P. volunteer and logged many hours at the hospital after her retirement. She was a member of the Lancaster Christian Church and the Rebecca Lodge.

Hilma loved staying busy and was always ready to "go" at a moment's notice when anyone mentioned a road trip. Her family was her life and she was always ready to jump in the car and come help anytime she was needed. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, watching television and a hot game of cards. Hilma touched many lives and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services were held May 18, 2006, at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, MO, with Sonny Smyser, pastor of the Lancaster United Methodist Church officiating. Music was provided by pianist, Twila Anderson and soloist, Cole Tippett. Pallbearers were David Pulliam, Ryan Erwin, Bob Cohlmeyer, Jim Russell, Robert Tade and Winfred Tade. Memorials have been established for the LaPlata Nursing Home in LaPlata, MO. Burial was in the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, MO. Arrangements were under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, MO.
