Willie C. Adamcik, age 85, of West, passed away Friday evening, June 23, at Hillcrest Medical Center at West.

A rosary was recited at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Assumption in West, by the Rev. Ed Karasek. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 4:15 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with the Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery near West.

Mr. Adamcik was born on September 8, 1914 in Hill Co., the son of Frank and Mary Adamcik. He married Regina A. Janek on February 3, 1941 in West. She preceded him in death on November 26, 1994. He was a farmer until his retirement. He enjoyed gardening, working in his blacksmith shop and playing with his grandchildren. He was a member of S.P.J.S.T. Lodge No. 66 and K.J.T. Society No. 11.

He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Frank Adamcik, Joe Adamcik, and Emil Adamcik; one sister, Agnes Trlica; and a son-in-law, Richard Snapka.

He is survived by two daughters, Jeanette Pokluda and husband Daniel, and Joyce Dulock and husband Raymond, all of West; one sister, Mary Sykora of West; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Dale Snapka, Ron Snapka, Gerald Snapka, Kyle Zacharias, Ray Dulock, Donny Cook, Thomas Caldwell and Wesley Matus.

Aderhold Funeral Home in West is in charge of arrangements.
