Bell siblings Elizabeth and George W. married Aplin siblings Joseph and Minerva, according to a biography of George W. (See Memorial # 55301705 )
The birthplace of Elizabeth is confused by available reports: Her daughter Alice's death certificate (pictured at the link below) claims her mother was born in MD. And, a Wood County history profile of Joseph's sister's husband, George W. Bell of Washington County, Ohio, calls Elizabeth Bell's home origin, Ludlow County, MD, when there is no such county in MD but IS such a township in Washington County, OH.
It seems most likely that the sense of origin grew garbled in family retelling, as the Bell grandparents did live in Frederickstown MD (Frederick County MD) before moving to Washington County Ohio. When this next generation of Washington County Bells and Aplins intermarried, the Aplins lived in Ludlow Township, Washington County, Ohio and the Bells also lived in Washington County. Rainbow Cemetery area of the the Bell grandparents was called Union Township in their day, but now is Muskingum Township.)
