Catherine Ann Fritz was born about April 1882, the daughter of Jesse H. Fritz and Catherine Fritz (nee Killian).

Her parents were in Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., PA, according to the 1880 census. By 1900 she and her parents were living in DuBois, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania.

She married Joseph William Osman, son of Israel Osman and Sarah Reitz.

Sometime between 1904 and 1907, Catherine and Joseph "Joe" took their then three children and went to New York.

Catherine and Joseph had these children: Mary Martha (known as Marie); Joseph William, Jr.; Pearl Mae; Charles E.; Catherine.

MRS. JOSEPH OSMAN
Mrs. Joseph Osman died Wednesday evening at the Emergency Hospital in this city. She is survived by her husband and five children, Marie, Catherine, Pearl, Joseph and Charles Osman, all of this city. The remains were removed to the family residence, 103 Rose place, this afternoon. The funeral will be held from the home at 8:15 o`clock Friday morning and at 9 o`clock from St. Patrick`s Church. Burial in SS. Peter and Paul`s cemetery.

(2) The Elmira Herald, Thursday, November 7, 1918:
MRS. JOSEPH OSMAN
Mrs. Joseph Osman died yesterday evening at a local hospital. She is survived by her husband; three daughters Marie, Pearl, Catherine; two sons, Joseph and Charles. The body was taken to the Murphy & Connelly Undertaking Rooms and from there to the family home, 103 Rose place. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at 8:15 o`clock at the home and at 9 o`clock at St. Patrick`s Church. Burial will be made in SS. Peter and Paul`s Cemetery.
