age 92, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at his home. Jim was a member of Nave Hill Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: father and mother, J. Enoch and Pita Louise (Capps) Buckner; brother, John Henry; sisters, Anna Lou Haynes and Ruby Lay; wife, Eileen Buckner. Survived by: nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Lou Ann Jarvis; caregivers, Larry, Bonnie and Cody Lay, Lou Ann Jarvis, and people of the community. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday with funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m. in Cooke Chapel. Reverend Ford Thomas and Reverend Gary Donehew officiating. Interment will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Boruff Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Larry Lay, Joe Rush, Jeff Davis, Doug Beeler, Billy Joe Nicley and Larry Nicley.
