Funeral services were conducted at Union Hill Baptist Church Friday for William Claud Ayers, 66, who died in his home in Formosa, Van Buren County, Thursday. The Rev. R. A. Boen officiated and burial was in Union Hill Cemetery by Pence's Funeral Home.
Mr. Ayers was a farmer and a bachelor. He was born at Clinton and lived in the Formosa community 63 years. He was a Baptist. Surviving are five sisters, Miss Martha Ayers, Formosa; Mrs. M. D. Maxwell, Atkins; Mrs. Grace Dalton, Bee Branch; Mrs. Mrs. Della Gordon, Little Rock, and Mrs. Lillie Bailey, Elk Grove, Calif.
