Margaret M. Stevens Tracy, age 83, of Augusta and formerly of Hallowell, died Easter Sunday morning, April 11, 2004 at the MaineGeneral Medical Center following an extended respiratory illness. She was born in Elyria, OH on November 14, 1920 a daughter of the late Russell S and Mary K (Snyder) Waldorf.
Mrs Tracy was a graduate of Wellington High School in Wellington, OH, class of 1938 and also attended the University of Miami (Ohio).
She had been employed by the Town of Jay as a sub teacher for many years, she was a home maker for most of her life.
She was a life member and past matron of the Rose of Sharon #13 Eastern Star.
Mrs. Tracy was pre-deceased by her second husband, Harland G. Tracy; her first husband, Herbert F. Stevens, Jr.; a son Owen R. Stevens: a grandson, Adam Stevens; and a sister, Martha E. Baker.
She is survived by her two sons, O. Jacob Stevens and his wife Claudette and Earl C. Stevens; three daughters Mary P. Nunan, Amy M. Stevens, and Susan M. Nay and her husband Robert; two step-sons , a step-daughter, 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grand children, five nieces, a nephew and serveral cousins.
