Nancy Ellen Decker, the daughter of Charles Decker and Adaline Willis, was born on November 24, 1866 in Grayson County, Kentucky. Her paternal grandparents were Eli Decker and Ellen Meredith. She was the wife of Thomas L. Crittenden Bradley, the son of Charles William Bradley and Elizabeth Ellen Layman.

According to the 1900 Census of Shrewsbury, Grayson County, Kentucky taken on June 4th, Thomas and Nancy Ellen had been married 18 years, which places their marriage in the latter part of 1881 or the early part of 1882. By 1900 Nancy Ellen was the mother of 7 children born in Kentucky with all 7 still living. The Bradley Household #42 consisted of: Thomas, a farmer, age 37, born Jan 1863 in KY, with his parents born in KY; his wife, Hellen (actually N. Ellen-VPB), age 33, born Nov 1866 in KY, with her parents born in KY; and their 7 children: Sarah E., age 17, born Jan 1883; Annie A., age 15, born Nov 1884; Mary F., age 12, born June 1887; Charlie S., age 10, born Jan 1890; William T., age 8, born May 1892; Minie L., age 5, born May 1895; and Emma J., age 2, born Nov 1897. Thomas died at the age of 64 years. 10 months and 22 days on December 22, 1927. Lula and Julia were born after 1900.

Her husband Thomas L. Bradley died at the age of 64 years, 10 months and 2 days on December 22, 1927. He was buried in the McGrew Cemetery in Leitchfield, Kentucky. Nancy joined him there after her death at the age of 64 years, 7 months and 22 days on July 16, 1931.
