A Steele resident for many years, Fulton Clarence Alexander died at the Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital November 8. He was 71 years, 2 months and 7 days of age.
Born in Savannah, Tennessee, Mr. Alexander was married there in 1907 to Jesse Glenn Fitts.
He moved to Steele in 1921, to Lilburn in 1941, to near Portageville in 1942 and to Netherlands in 1943. In 1954, the Alexanders moved to Hayti. Mr. Alexander was a retired farmer.
Two infant children preceded him in death.
Survivors are his wife of Hayti, four sons, Raymond of Lilburn, Truman of Redlands, Calif., J.W. of Hayti and Deward of St. Louis; five daughers, Misses Ora Mae and Montrue Alexander of Hayti, Mrs. Ruby Bonds of Lilburn, Mrs. Reva Neil of Hayti, and Miss Ruth Alexander of St. Louis; two brothers, one sister, 25 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were said from the Ingram Ridge Baptist Church at 2:00 Monday. Rev. Fred Boren of that church officiated.
Burial was in Mt. Zion. John W. German Funeral Home was in charge of services.
