Temperance "Tempie" Palistine Cooper was the daughter of Macajah Thomas A. Cooper and Sarah A. "Sallie" Vincent. On Oct 15, 1857 she married Joseph Mason 'Jobie" Cason in Tennessee. The couple had 7 children. They were:

The Cason family moved from Wilson County, Tennessee to Wise County Texas around 1882. After moving to Texas they became founding members of the Greenwood Baptist Church in Greenwood, Texas. Tempie passed away several years afterward.
