Funeral rites for Mrs. Mary Bell Biggs, 81, Hume resident who died Monday morning, will be conducted at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Torneden funeral chapel in Hume. The Rev. Frank D. Tarr will officiate and interment will be in the Hume cemetery.
Mrs. Mary Katherine Burrington will be the soloist and Mrs. Manetta Horton will served as the accompanist.
Mrs. Biggs was born near Hume, April 15, 1888, the daughter of Homer Wilson and Ella Mae Harnsberger Sieg. In 1911, she was married at Rich Hill to George Biggs who died in 1953. Mrs. Biggs was a member of the Hume United Methodist church and the Hume Garden Club.
Survivors include three sisters, Margaret Klumpp and Myrtle Shepherd, both of Rich Hill and Katherine Waymire of Emporia, Kan.; one brother, Robert Sieg of Eureka, Kan., one niece.
