Mrs. Rose Hardman died at the Sacred Heart hospital in Spokane, Monday, Sept 15, 1919. She had been ailing since last December and had been in the hospital since July 6. Her condition was known to be serious and her death did not come as a surprise but it did come as a shock to the community and to her husband and relatives. Heart trouble and complications are given as the causes of death.

Deceased was born in Polk Co, Iowa, Aug 30, 1885, and at the time of her death was 34 years and 15 days old. At two years of age she came to WA with her parents who settled on a farm five miles south of Harrington. In 1911 she was married to John Hardman and to this union was born two children, one son who died in infancy and another now 19 months old. Deceased is survived by her husband, infant son, father and mother (Mr. & Mrs. Sam McDonald) of Helmville, MT; three sisters, Mary and Kathryn McDonald of Helmville and Mrs. .J R. Dwyer of Harrington; and two brothers, Michael and James of Helmville. Funeral services were held at the Catholic church on Thursday and burial occurred in the Catholic Cemetery at Harrington.
