Burns, Myrtle (Sherwood)

Mrs. Wm Burns, nee Myrtle Sherwood, was born near Bolivar, MO, April 18, 1880 and died at Sacred Heart hospital, Spokane, Sunday Aug 29, 1909 at 5:20 PM. The remains were brought to Harrington, where Rev Father McAleer conducted the funeral services at the Catholic Church Tuesday and interment was made in the Catholic cemetery at Harrington.

Her girlhood home was near Bolivar, MO, where she was left an orphan at ten years of age by the death of her mother, her father having died when she was a babe.

She leaves a husband and five children, the youngest a babe of only five weeks, and four brothers to mourn her loss. Three of her brothers, R. M., Elmer and Charles Sherwood of Wardner, ID, were in attendance at the funeral; John, another brother, did not get word of her death in time to be present. (Citizen-3 Sept 1909)
