Thomas Alfred Bazar, 86, retired jeweler of Montgomery, La., passed away Tuesday, January 4, in a local hospital after a short illness.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mars Hill Baptist Church with Rev. A. Calhoun, Rev. S. J. Sylvest, and Rev. Clarence Brooks officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery under direction of Hixson
Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maggie May Bazar, three sons, two daughters, one of whom is Mrs. Bertha S. Beard of Montgomery; one brother, Payton Bazar of Montgomery, one sister, Mrs. Emily B. Walker of Montgomery; 18 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
