Resident of Fairmount for 60 years, Mrs. Matilda Jane Taylor, 78, died Thursday night, Oct. 27, 1938, at her home in Fairmount. She had been in ill health a year, and bedfast a week.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Wilmington, Ohio, Mar. 25, 1860, daughter of Henry and Electa Wood Certain. Her husband, William Henry Taylor, died 25 years ago.
Surviving are two children, Sherman Taylor and Mrs. Gertrude Johnson, Fairmount; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a brother, Sherman Certain of Fairmount.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p. m. Sunday at the home in Fairmount. Burial in Davis Cemetery, N. E. Carrington,Undertaker, in charge.
