Bruce Garver, who manages this Memorial to Thomas H. Hunter (1806-1880), is a third cousin twice-removed to Hannah Jane (Garver) Hunter (1878–1958), whose husband, George William Hunter (1874-1937), is the youngest son of Thomas H. Hunter (1806-1880) and his second wife, Jane M. (Musgrove) Hunter Beeler (1840–1902). Hannah Jane (Garver) Hunter's great-grandfather, Samuel Garver, Jr. (1787–1868), is an older brother of Bruce's great-great-great grandfather, Jacob Garver (1794-1868).

During his seventy-four years of life, Thomas H. Hunter (1806-1880) wed three times in succesion and became the husband of :
(1) a wife of unknown name who was born in Northern Ireland.
(2) Clarissa Eliza Jane (Laughlin) Hunter (1809–1874) is the mother of the youngest ten of the thirteen children of Thomas H. Hunter's children. Clarissa Eliza Jane is depicted in the photograph attached by Lawrence Parks who is related to Bruce Garver through Hannah Jane (Garver) Hunter (1878–1958), the wife of George William Hunter (1874-1937) .
(3) In 1864, Thomas H. Hunter wed Jane M. Musgrove (Hunter Beeler, 1840-1902), an immigrant from Ireland to the United States. Together, Thomas H. Hunter and Jane M. (Musgrove) Hunter raised three children of their own in addition to the three youngest of the ten children of Thomas H. Hunter and Clarissa Eliza Jane (Laughlin) Hunter (1809–1874),
