Carolyn Louise Antes, 63, of Battle Creek, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the Cleveland Clinic. She was born December 6, 1945, in Battle Creek, the daughter of Martin and Leona (Miller) Eager.
Carolyn was very active with The Drifters Car Club and enjoyed participating in the club's charity work. She also enjoyed helping elderly people with their activities and attended Rhema Word Outreach Center.
Carolyn married Ronald E. Antes on May 5, 1962, in Battle Creek. He survives her. Carolyn also leaves her children, Ronald (Amanda) Antes Jr. of Battle Creek, Carolyn (Edward) Marshall of Lynchburg, TN, Elvie (Gary) Rigel of Burlington and Ford (Teresa) Antes of Battle Creek. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; half sisters, Rosemary Lopez and Lucinda Eager; and half brother, John Eager. She was preceded by her parents and her brother, Ronald "Inky" Fitch.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Royal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Royal Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.
