Thomas McRae Dies in Car Near Clearwater

Services for Thomas William McRae of 4706 Horton Road, who was fatally injured in an automobile accident early yesterday near Clearwater, Fla., will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Cosmopolitan Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mr. Vernon Gardens. He was 23.

Mr. McRae, a dance instructor with Fred Astaire Studios, was killed when his small sports car went out of control on a road leading to Clearwater Beach. A young woman in the car with him also was killed.

Born in Wynne, Ark., Mr. McRae had lived in Memphis most of his life. He was graduated from South Side High School and had attended Memphis State University. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He was on a business trip when the accident occurred.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Carolyn McRae of Little Rock; a 1-year old daughter, Stormy Gale McRae, his mother, Mrs. Marene Austein of the Horton Road address and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Wilkins of Flippin, Arkansas.
