Funeral services for Ruth Childs, 91, were held here Feb 16 and interment was at Spring Creek Cemetery near Reardan for the long-time Lincoln County resident. She died Feb 13, 1983 in Lincoln Nursing Home and was reared in Lewiston, Idaho. She moved to Lincoln County in the early 1900s and in 1909 she married William N Childs. They farmed north of Reardan until 1935 when they moved to a farm east of Davenport. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, in 1971 and by one son, Floyd, in 1966. Survivors include a son, Leonard, and his wife, Edith, of Davenport; four grandchildren, Kay Sewall, Marathon, FL, Sandra Higgins, Anchorage, Alaska, Ron Childs of Seattle, and Linda Dilley of Spokane; 9 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
