Emma Aguilar Abeyta, 90, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, in Mescalero. She was born on Nov. 12, 1919, in Tularosa to Clovis Baca and Evangelista (Padilla) Aguilar.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eddie L. Abeyta in 2005; and her son, Eddie D. Abeyta in 2007.
Survivors include her daughter, Eva L. Abeyta-Peters of Alamogordo; grandchildren Wendy Abeyta of Santa Fe, Audrey Franco and her husband Jose of Santa Fe, Michael Hiles of Alamogordo, Heidi Hiles of Alamogordo; great grandson, Valentine Hiles; sister-in-law, Minnie Abeyta of Alamogordo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at St. Francis de Paula church in Tularosa with Father Max Hottle, O.F.M.
Pallbearers include Leo Aguilar, Severo "Chico" Provencio, Alex Candelaria, Gilbert Aguilar and Darrell Ray.
Internment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
