ARANSAS PASS - Elva John Lemaire, 16, was killed in a hunting accident yesterday afternoon near here. Police Chief Felix N. Turnbough said Lemaire was attempting to put his .410 shotgun into a skiff when the gun went off. Lemarie was struck in the left side. The accident occurred about 1:10 p.m. He died at 2:24 p.m.
Lemaire is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lemair. The body was being moved today to Kaplen, La., for services and burial there.
The boy was in the ninth grade and was a member of the Catholic Church.
Cage Funeral Home had charge of local arrangements.
