I fondly remember when Annie came to live with us for the first time. It was a very warm evening and my parents and I were sitting out on our front porch, when a taxi pulled up in front of the house and my brother and Annie got out. She lived with us for quite a while. My brother had to go back to his ship stationed in Florida and that was the beginning of a great relation ship for Annie and I. When she wanted to go shopping I would walk to town with her and be her interpreter since she was quite shy at first. Later she went to work in one of our ice cream parlors. I would go visit her once in a while, and she would take a break and we would sit and have an ice cream cone to gather When they finally were married and she moved to Florida, it became quite lonesome for a while. We had such good times and I'll always have these memories.
