DIED -
HUNTER - In this city, Jul 5th, 1884, after a long and painful illness, Wm. B. Hunter; aged 54 years.
Deceased was a native of the State of New York, but resided in Pennsylvania for some twelve years, where he was engaged as a conductor on the railroad. He came to Idaho in 1864 and resided for many years in this city, after which he went to California where he resided for about four years, returning to this city in 1882. On the 17th of Jul 1883, he was stricken with paralysis, from the effects of which he never recovered entirely, and was subject to renewed attacks until the week before his death when he was finally prostrated. Capt. Hunter was a worthy citizen and an affectionate husband and kind neighbor. He leaves an afflicted wife to mourn his loss. Yesterday, the remains of the brave old pioneer were laid away to rest in the Masonic cemetery near this city. Peace to his ashes.
