TWO DIE IN CRASH AT PARADISE TURN

Two persons were dead as a result of a crash into a stone fence when the car in which they were riding failed to make a curve on the highway in Paradise Tuesday at 11:15 p.m. The car a 1950 Buick was completely destroyed when it caught on fire after the crash.

Thomas Curtis Allen, 40 died in the local hospital at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, and Mrs. Jenett Allen Scales, 35 a cousin of Allen, died at 12:45 p.m. the same day.

Bridgeport firemen were called to extinguish the fire, which was first reported that the city of Paradise was burning up.

The stone fence around the home or R. A. Haralson probably saved the house from burning as the car would have undoubtedly crashed into the structure.

Funeral arrangements have not been made for Mrs. Scales at this time.
