Graduate of the Ohio State University, College of Agriculture, Class of 1927, where he was a member of the Townshend Chapter, Alpha Zeta Fraternity. He did post-graduate study at Cornell University, where he was an instructor.
He was survived by his wife of forty-five years, the former Mable Herbert; four children; ten grandchildren; and a brother, Kenneth E. Davisson, of Mechanicsburg, Ohio; along with many nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
