--------------------
Pert is what I called my great grandmother Lovie. When she died they dug her grave beside her husband Tom, but found an old grave already there, so they closed it & went down row to the left, to the end & dug her grave there & placed a small stone on it. It is an old cemetery on private property off Edna Lane in a crossroads called Lamasco in Lyon Co. There is a wire fence all around the perimeter.

Lovie was one of thirteen children born to James Mordida Gray & Mary Francis "Fannie" Armstrong.

Lovie moved to Princeton with her grandson Charles "Floppy" Brennan & his family, when the farm in Lamasco was sold in 1952. She lived with them until her death. She died in a bed in the living room. My four Brennan cousins & I were watching her & the doctor, from a corner of the room, when she passed on. I was 11 years old & my Aunt Virginia was watching me that summer during the days my Mother worked at the beauty shop in Hopkinsville. We were all being very quiet & I remember thinking that Perts spirit must be in the room & I moved my eyes about the room to see if I could see her.
