Alexander Armstrong is the son of William Armstrong and Mary. He married Nancy about 1796 Spartanburg, SC. Children are Elizabeth Mary, William, Thomas Washington, Samuel. Nancy.
The Death date is the date the will was signed. It was witnessed by David Kimzey brother of James C who married his daughter Elizabeth Mary.Also witnessed by John Hamilton. Alex Armstrong's Aunt, Martha Armstrong, was married to John Hamilton and John Hamilton's daughter Elizabeth may be the Elizabeth who married David KImsey. Te Will does not mention his wife but there is an older female in Thomas's household in 1840 that could be her.

"In the name of god Amen I Alexander Armstrong ofAl the county of Livingston and estate of Kentucky being in a low state of health but of perfect mind and memory thanks be unto god calling into mind the mentality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men onest to die. I do make and ordain this my last will and testement that is to say principally ond first of all I give and recommend my soul to God that gave it and my body to the ? end to the earth to be buried in a decent Christian burial at the descretion of my executors nothing doubting but at the general reserection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God and or teeching I ? estate wherewith it had pleased god to ? me with in this life. I give and dimiss ond dispose of the same in the following manner. to wit. The first of all I give one bequeth to Nancy my beloved wife all my pershable property horses cattle sheep and hogs and all my farming tools one feather bed and furniture and all the kitchen apparaties and to have her maintenance on the place whereon I now live and at her death to dispose of to her childrin as she thinks proper. Also I give one bequeath to my daughter Mary one dollar to be hers forever(Mary is married to James Kimsey and probably already has her inheritance) and also to my son William I give one bequeath a tract or parcel of land Beginning at a conditional corner on the west side of the ? Fork of Crooked Creek at the mouth of a branch running the general course of its branch to the ? ? thence with the sawline or lines to the ? below. Thence with said to the beginning conditional corner containing one hundred and fifty acres more or less to be his forever. I also give and bequeath to my two other sons Samuel and Thomas to be decided equally between them it being the tract or tracts where on I now live. containing four jundred acres more or less to them forever also I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann one feather bed, one furniture to be hers forever. I also give one bequeath to my daughter Nancy one feather bed and furniture to be hers forever. I do likewise contitute make and ordain ? executors of this my last will and testament I do ratify and confirm to be my last will testament in witness where of I have set my name and seal this seventeeth day of august one thousnad eight hundred and twenty four signed sealed and delivered by the said Alexander Armstrong as his last will and testament in his persants and in the perants ?when have to subscribe our names
