Anna Marie Alvey, 91, of Evansville, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, at St. Mary's Medical Center of heart failure. She had worked for her son at Alvey Signs. She was a life member of St. Benedict Cathedral and a member of the Legion of Mary. Surviving are three daughters, Barbara Alvey, Bonnie Bainbridge and Brenda Anslinger, all of Evansville; a son, Kenneth of Evansville; three sisters, Leona Kaltsos of Chicago, Helen Tislow of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., and Ruth Phillips of Evansville; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William G., and a daughter, Billie Marie Cook, both in 1980. Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, continuing at 9 a.m. at St. Benedict Cathedral, the Revs. Gregory Chamberlin and Harold Hammerstein officiating, with entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with a rosary at 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Vanderburgh County Right to Life
