Dolores H. Crook, 74, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2009, at home surrounded by family and friends after a 2 ½ year battle with cancer.
Services are 11 am Thursday, October 29, 2009, at Lakewood Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson on Clinton Blvd. with graveside services at 2:30 pm Thursday at Vaiden City Cemetery. Visitation is at Lakewood Funeral Home 5-7 Wednesday, October 28, 2009, and after 10 am Thursday.
Mrs. Crook, a Greenville native, was a resident of Clinton for over 38 years. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church. She was retired from Lakeland Nursing Home where she worked as a bookkeeper and payroll accountant.
Mrs. Crook was an avid player of bridge and bunko and enjoyed traveling with her "posse".
Mrs. Crook was preceded in death by her husband, Billy C. Crook; parents, Walter and Pauline Hansbrough; and sister, Glenda Shally.
Survivors include: sons, Walter Crook of Raymond and Willie Crook and wife, Betsy of Raymond: and sister, Carolyn Stamper of Houston, TX,
