"Final Rites for Mrs. Amy Dawson"
"Funeral services were held Monday from the Biersborn Funeral Home of Union for Mrs. Amy Dawson, 90, who died Thursday at the Sherman Nursing Home in Marshalltown.
The Rev. Eugene Wolfley officiated with burial in the Bangor Cemetery.
Mrs. Amy Dawson was born Amy Pope on Oct. 14, 1871, near Minerva, the daughter of Joseph and Sarah Pope. She attended Wesley Chapel Church at Minerva and later joined the Baptist Church. She was united in marriage to Grant Dawson in 1891 at Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include two children, Mrs. Amy Miller of Bangor and Kyle Dawson of Indianola; three grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Mr. Dawson. Thank you. Ann Bowler
