After being an invalid for a number of months, Marion Bond, 65, died at his home, 404 Main street at noon today. Realizing the end was near he asked that the Rev. Robert Sellers be called, and the minister was present and offered words of consolation and hope just before the end came.

The deceased had been a resident of the city and vicinity for years and was well known here. He leaves a large family of children and many friends to mourn his death. Arrangements for the funeral have not yet been made.

The funeral of Marion Bond, 65, who died at his home in the west part of the city yesteray afternoon will be held at the Christian church tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev Robert Sellers in charge. The Grand Army and Relief Corps will attend in a body and interment will occur in the city cemetery.

The deceased was a native of Clinton county, but has lived here for a number of years being widely known and highly respected in the city and community. He leaves four children to mourn him.
