Eliza Floral (Minnie) Farnsworth Lemon, 92, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. E. Max Hartman, in Altamont on Monday, Oct. 19, at 10:30 a.m. of causes incident to age.
Born in Coalville Summit County, on January 25, 1878, a daughter of Joseph and Eliza Rhead Farnsworth, the second child in the family.
Her father was killed in a coal mine accident when she was 8 months of age.
She married James B. Lemon in the Salt Lake Temple March 22, 1911, and came to the Uintah Basin where they lived on their homestead in Ioka until his death in 1958.
She was active in the LDS church.
She is the mother of five children, Mrs. E. Max (Edna) Hartman, Altamont; Mrs. George S. (Floral) Davis, Salt Lake City; Mrs. J. Glenn (Olive) Morrill, Garnsville, Flo.; James F., Ioka and Paul B., Dutch John, all living. She is also survived by 36 grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. Mrs. Lemon had one step-daughter, Mrs. Virgil W. (Marba) Mecham who preceded her in death.
Burial will be in the Ioka Cemetery.
