OBITUARIES
Ida L. Grau Services Held
Long time Palo Alto County resident Mrs. Ida L. Grau of Emmetsburg died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 1978, at Palo Alto County Hospital. She was 91.
Funeral services for Mrs. Grau were held Feb. 10 at 1:30 p.m. from the Curlew United Methodist Church. The Rev. Robert Parris officiated over services.
Burial was at Rush Lake Cemetery with Beiter Funeral Home, Inc., in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Phillip Lund, Oral Headrick, Otis Pieratt, John Lund, Victor Graff and William Baxter, Jr.
Ida (Lyon) Grau was born March 5, 1886, in Dayton. Her parents were Charles and Louise (Johnson) Lyon. Ida received her education in rural schools of Rush Lake Township. She lived in Curlew for 64 years.
On July 6, 1927, Ida and Jacob Grau were married at Curlew. Mrs. Grau was a member of the United Methodist Church at Curlew. She moved to Emmetsburg in 1956.
Surviving are four nephews and five nieces.
Mrs. Grau was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob, on Dec. 11, 1954; her parents, four sisters and five brothers.
