Born August 9, 1911 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Jacob E. and Rebecca (Nisley) Eichelberger. On August 29, 1940, she married Rev. Dr. Frank W. Ake, a minister in the United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on June 19, 1987.
Helen was a 1929 graduate of William Penn High School, Harrisburg and a 1932 graduate of Lucy Webb Hayes in Washington D.C. She obtained and held a Local Preachers license for 38 years.
Friends will be received from noon to 1 p.m., Monday at Beaver Memorial United Methodist Church, 40 S. Third Street, Lewisburg, where the funeral will be held at 1 p.m., with her pastor, Rev. Brian D. Vasey, officiating. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beaver Memorial United Methodist Church, 40 S. Third Street, Lewisburg, PA 17837 or to RiverWoods, 3201 River Road, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
The family is being assisted by the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, S. Second and St. Louis streets, Lewisburg.

Added to Helen's history is her mother's sisters, Margaret (William) Corl and Mary (John) Bently of course their maiden name was Nisley. The three Nisley girls were located on 6th street where their parents had a butcher's shop in the 3500 block. This would have to be checked because the 3500 block is in Susquehanna Twp. not Harrisburg.
