Frances was the daughter of Willie Creighton Gillespie and his wife Johnnie Sheriff Gillespie.
She was a retired teacher from Brevard County Schools, teaching many years at Apollo Elementary School. She was a Christian and a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church. She was also a former member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and of the Genealogical Society of North Brevard.
She enjoyed reading and writing and especially genealogy.
She was married to Oscar Rehrig in June 1961 and they had one son, John Kevin Rehrig.
