M. Kilian Beisbier, 79, of 111 Martin St., Campbellsport, died at 1 a.m. today at St. Agnes Hospital following a brief illness.
Campbellsport village president and member of the county board from 1947 to 1963 in the Town of Wayne, Washington County, the son of Wenzel and Catherine Strobel Biesbier
He married Elizabeth Pesch May21, 1918. She died Aug. 16. Mr. Beisbier was a member of St. Matthew's Church, Campbellsport, veteran of World War I, having served in France,and treasurer of the Brown-Bell Post of the American Legion of Campbellsport.
He started in business in what was called New Castle in a general store called Beisbier and Jaeger and operated the Pesch and Beisbier Ford Agency, Campbellsport, with John Pesch for 35 years.
Survivors include one brother, Philip Beisbier, of St. Kilian, and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Jaeger, Campbellsport, and Mrs. John Murphy of Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, and 10:30 a.m. from St. Matthew's Church, Rev. Warren J. Schmitt officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery.

Funeral services for M. Kilian Beisbier, who died Thursday, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport, and 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthew's Church, Campbellsport.
Rev. Warren j. Schmitt was celebrant of the Solemn Requiem High Mass with Rev. Elroy Pesch, O.S.F., deacon, and Rev. William J. Farrell, subdeacon.
Rev. Walter Morgan was master of ceremonies.
Honorary pallbearers included Ray Hendricks, Lewis Tonn, Ernest Kloke and Richard Trapp, members of Brown-Bell Post of the American Legion of Campbellsport. Pallbearers were Eldon Spradau, Edward Rudolph, Frank P. Thiel, Thomas Meade, Floyd Bauer and Michael Beisbier. Burial was in St. Matthew's Cemetery.
Military graveside rites were conducted by the veterans of Foreign Wars Post of Campbellsport with David Ebert serving as commander.
