Edgar E. Belveal, 76, died November 21, 2006 at the Via Christi St. Francis Burn Center, Wichita. He was born March 17, 1930 in Santa Ana, CA, the son of Edgar M. and Velva L. Coy Belveal.

A resident of Hutchinson since 1958, he was a mechanic for McCue Transfer, Ely's GMC and later for Bob's Truck Repair, all in Hutchinson.

He was a Sgt. in the United States Army.

He married Patricia Mildred McCue on March 8, 1952 in Hutchinson. She died May 2, 2000.

Survivors include 3 sons, Edgar, Anchorage, Alaska, Roger, Borger, TX, and Edwin, Spokane, MO, 4 daughters, Patricia Jellison, Greensburg, Joan Wiggins, Hutchinson, Tammy Cline, Nickerson, and Kimberly Williams, Hutchinson, 1 brother, Basil, Yale, OK, 23 grandchildren, and 31 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Jones and a grandson, Chad Belveal.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Hutchinson, with Pastor Willard Stafford presiding.

Burial will follow at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.

Visitation will be held from 1-9PM Sunday, with the family receiving friends from 3-5PM that afternoon, all at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Hutchinson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Via Christi St. Francis Burn Unit, in care of the funeral home.
