Funeral services for Bonnie Grace Brantley McPhail were held August 30, 2000 at Jackson Primitive Baptist Church with Elder David Pyles officiating, under the direction of Wright & Fergerson Funeral Home. She was born in October 1905 and passed away August 27, 2000 at the home of her daughter. Interment was in Lakewood South Cemetery in Jackson.

She was a native of Carthage, Mississippi and had lived many years in Jackson before moving to Gloster. She was a nurse at Crawford Nursing Home, Mississippi Nursing Home, Carters Nursing Home and Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. She was a member of Jackson Primitive Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents A.J. and Sarah E. Brantley, her husband J. D. McPhail and brothers and sisters. Survivors include: daughter Mavis Dawson of Gloster; sons Joe McPhail of Jackson and Jon McPhail of D'Lo; nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to Jackson Primitive baptist church, 3520 Forest Hill Road, Jackson, Ms., 39212.
