Norma Jan Snyder Brown, 69, of Loraine, died Tuesday October 11, 2005, of lung cancer in a local hospital. Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Loraine Cemetery with Rev. Jake Chaney officiating under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
She was born March 15, 1936 to Tony Othel Blanton and Bertha Faye Wilkerson Snyder in Loraine. She married Paul Grier Brown, Jr. in June 1953 in Loraine; he preceded her in death on February 13, 1994 after 40 years of marriage.
She is survived by her daughter, Toni Jan Brown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, her son and daughter-in-law, Paul Grier III and Allison Harvey Brown of Magnolia, her son, Michael Ross Brown of Lafayette, Louisiana, and her brother, Ross Blanton Snyder of Maybank, grandchildren, Meredith Leigh Brown, Margaret Allison Brown and Paul Grier Brown IV, all of Magnolia , Tiffany Jan Brown of Bayou Vista, Louisiana, and Christina Grier Brown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
In lieu o f flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
