Florencie Gertrude Amburgey, age 82, of Florence, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, at ECM Hospital. She was a native of Lauderdale County and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Greenview Memorial Chapel, with burial to follow in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating at the service will be Gilbert Kretzer.
Her daughter, Doris Jean Sparkman, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her nieces, Myra Dolan, Sandra Gooch, Sharon Jones, Susan Putnam, Shari Sykes, Pamela Samul, Trina VanDooren, Paula Rippe, Debra Cheek, Veronica Witt and Tammy Witt; her nephews, Ronald Gooch, Gary Gooch, Thomas Gooch and Mark Witt; and two aunts, Oma and Eunice Gooch.
Pallbearers will be Mark Witt, Johnny Gooch, Christopher Gooch, James Heszuel, Joseph Thigpen and Josh Sykes.
