Charles A. (Augustus?) Rominger was the youngest of eight known children of Charles William Rominger (1810-1897) and his second wife, Mary Ann Walter Miksch Rominger (1812-1894), who married 29 Jan 1838 at Hope, Bartholomew County, Indiana. Charles W. had an additional two children (both of whom died young) by his first wife, Fannie Holston Rominger (1811-1837).
Charles married Lucretia (went by Lou) A. Bartlow (1856-1950) on 22 May 1881 at Bartholomew County, Indiana (though some records show they married at Goteuger, Ohio). It is not known whom the parents of Lucretia were. The Rominger Grave marker that Charles and Lucretia share with Charles' parents, lists an 1847 birth year for Lucretia, but family records and the 1900 census, plus the fact that her youngest child was born in 1900, suggest the 1856 birth year.
