Myrtis Bates Bridges --- Died 9 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 1990, at the St. Helena Parish Hospital in Greensburg. She was 90, a native of Amite County, Miss. and a resident of Kentwood.

Visitation at her residence, Rt. 1, Kentwood, until 1:40 p.m. Monday. Religious services at the New Zion Baptist Church, 2 p.m. Monday. Burial in the church cemetery.

Survived by three daughters, Lorraine Blades, Juanita Felker, and Ouida Travis, all of Kentwood; four sons, Kennon Bridges and Donald Young, both of Kentwood, Alton Bridges, Greensburg, and Clarence Bridges, Port Naches, Texas; a half-brother, J.B. Wall, Gillsburg, Miss.; three half-sisters; 20 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by husband Clarence Bridges; two daughters, Helen Young and Evelyn Bridges; and a son, Norman Bridges
