Leon married Evelyn A. HONEYCUTT and they had sons Arnold & Manuel and daughters Rose, Elsie & Emma. He later married Marie TICKALI and Elsie BALL. Leon died at his home and is buried by his father.

Funeral services for Mr. Leon Otis Cole, 72, of Grayson, LA. Were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 1998 at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, La. With Rev. Alban Poole officiating. Interment followed in Palestine Cemetery. Mr. Cole was born in Delhi, La. On July 29, 1926 to the union of Lional and Mary May Cole and died on December 20, 1998 at his residence in Grayson. He was a commercial fisherman and was also a veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Navy. Survivors include: two sons: Arnold Cole, Monroe, La. and Manuel Cole, Grayson, La.; three daughters: Rose Cole, Taylorsville, Mississippi; Elsie Gutierrez, Taylorsville, Mississippi and Emma Cole, Redding, California; one brother: Garland Cole, Shreveport, La.; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Pallbearers were: Buddy Nugent, Doug Crockett, Apolinar Gutierrez, Willis Ivy, Bobby Franklin and Joseph Franklin. Honorary pallbearer was S. O. Brockner.
