Sadie E. McClure Parcel was the daughter of James A. McClure & Rebecca McHenry McClure. As a young girl she worked for a well-to-do family as seamstress in MI. Later worked as a supervisor in a Overall factory. She married Arthur E. Parcel October 27, 1928 in Corydon, Iowa. To this union was born one daughter Clara Lea Parcel Bitner.
They lived on a farm. Very dedicated house wife and good seamstress & cook.
Sadie has 4 sisters; Minnie (Scott) Chester Jan. 26,1892-Jan. 6, 1976, Birdie (McClure) Andrews, Oct. 28, 1896-Feb. 17, 1969, Josie (McClure) Mitchell, Oct. 30, 1898-Jan 24, 1963, Clara (McClure) Beach, Dec. 2, 1900-June 8, 1991; 1 brother Elmer Lee McClure March 11, 1903-Sept 4, 1976.
Sadie died February 2, 1985 in the Golden Age Manor, Centerville, Iowa.
