Bernard B. "Bunny" Brown, 72 of Norwalk died Sunday, January 28, 1996 at his home after a long illness. Bunny was born in Elyria and lived with his cousin Ilene Marietta Wright in Norwalk beginning in 1983. Prior to that he resided in Denver.
He graduated from Elyria High School in 1941, where he was a drum major.
During World War II, he served in the Army with the 101st Airborne Division. He was captured as a prisoner of war from 1944 to 1945.
He was co-owner of Club 92 and Garage Fleet Service in Winter Haven, Florida and was a well known musician with his own band. Along with Ilene he ran Bunny's Pet Care in Norwalk and had worked at Hartland Auto Supply in Norwalk.
Many of his younger cousins regarded him as a great friend and one of the kindest hearts they had ever met. There was never an old joke he didn't tell and he always had time to talk with or teach the younger members of the family.
