Will was born in Los Angeles, California to George W. and Olga E. Barker. Will's sister, Betty Ann Bailey lives in Hutchinson, Kansas. Will's brother Robert Lee Barker preceded him in death.
In 1952, Will enlisted in the Navy and served nearly 2 years overseas in the Korean war, before being discharged in 1956.
Will married and had 3 children, a son Bill, who lives in Utah and a daughter Karen, who lives in California.
In seeking work, Will traveled to Texas and Arizona where he worked as a bull rider, cowboy, concrete worker, construction and doing what he really loved, playing in his own band, "Culpepper and Company", Culpepper was Will's stage name.
Will's cousins and aunts prayed for him daily that hew would turn his life over to Jesus. On September 29, 2006 he was baptized in the Colorado River.
On February 14, 2007, he married Rachel Lagueux, giving Will another son, Andre Lagueux of Maine.
Will has been a member of Valley Christian Church for the past couple of years, blessing us with solos, duets and messages that spoke to his heart and spoke to our hearts.
