DEWEY CLANCY, 66, OF MULKEYTOWN, DIES

Dewey Clancy, 66, of Mulkeytown died at 12:10 p.m. Saturday in Miners Hospital Christopher. He was a lifetime resident of Franklin County, He was a retired miner, last working at Old Ben 11.

He was born May 25, 1898, in Franklin County, the son of John and Florence Arterberry Clancy. He was a member and elder of the Christopher First Christian Church. He was a member of the Christopher Masonic Lodge where he was a 32nd degree Mason, He was a member of the East St. Louis Ainiad Temple, Shrine Temple and Consistory.

He leaves his wife, the former Lola Milburn; a son, Charles of Pontiac, Mich.; daughters Mrs Daphna Tinsley of Zeigler, Mrs. Hilda Hicks of Waterford, Mich., and Mrs. Mildren Largent of Carbondale, six grandchildren; one great grandchild and a sister, Hartence Clancy of Sullivan.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm Tuesday in the Christopher First Christian Church. Eugene Fox will officiate. Burial will be in Mulkeytown Cemetery. Masonic services will be at 7:30 pm today in Russell Funeral Home, Christopher. Friends may call a the funeral home or after noon Tuesday at the church.
