Weldon was born in July 9,1908, in Popular (near Ririe). His mother would die the following June before Weldon was a year old. Weldon was raised by his grandparents Thomas and Merab Richardson in Inkom, Idaho.

His grandmother Merab died in 1913 and his grandfather remarried to a lady named Anna Cole. Anna passed away in 1920 and his grandfather Thomas Richardson passed away in 1924. Weldon then lived with his Uncle T.I. (Thomas Ives) Richardson and Aunt Hattie Richardson.

Weldon married Frances Rita Maly on April 22, 1931, in Odgen, Utah. They had four children (John, Ann, Charolete who took the name Johanna when she became a nun, and Edward). They lived in Inkom, Idaho, where Weldon worked at the cement plant. In 1942, Weldon was shot by a burgular who was going through the cars at the cement plant. Weldon was taken to the hospital in Pocatello where he passed away a day or two later on May 15, 1942.

Weldon is buried in the Mountain View Cemetery in Pocatello. Frances Morgan took her four children to western Idaho, I think around Nampa, where she raised her four children. remarried to a man named Yates and had one more child. She was a very devout Catholic and her oldest son John became a Catholic Priest. One daughter Johanna became a Catholic nun who taught school, but she later left the convent and married.

When Frances Morgan passed away in 1997, her children brought her body back to Pocatello to be buried next to Weldon in the Mountain View Cemetery. Father John Morgan was the only child still alive when I talked to him on the phone several years ago. He had retired and was living in a Catholic Home in Boise.
